A STORY ABOUT ESAU MILTON

Esau before the treatment.

Esau Milton is a boy who was born in Rulanda village in Muleba District.  He was born with a disability (cleft lips)  His parents were shocked very much because they had never seen a child like Esau. His mother cried and she became stressed. Neighbors told parents to bring Esau at our MDREO office for requesting  the treatment costs for Esau. The mother came in our MDREO office while crying. She was crying because she had no hope that her    child will be treated. The mother was not aware  that cleft lips can be treated by a surgery. MDREO staff counseled  the mother well and showed her some pictures of some children who were born with cleft lips but now  they look fine after the treatment. MDREO staff and the  mother  discussed well the treatment process of Esau. Also the Staff taught the mother how to breast feed the child well so that the child gains the required weight and improves his   health.  The mother understood well after the discussion and she stopped crying .Esau was taken to the hospital for treatment. The treatment was successful.

Esau after the treatment.  Parents, relatives and neighbors were very  happy  after the treatment. All people in the community became aware that Cleft lips can be treated well. Much thanks to our donors who funded  for the treatment of Esau.
